Sør-Varanger – Bøkfjord fyr/Bøkfjord lighthouse

  Bøkfjord fyrstasjon ligger på sørsiden av Varangerfjorden utenfor Kirkenes. Fyret har en 1 etasjes betongbygning med lykten i et lavt tårn. Linseapparatet er av 5. orden. Anlegget ble totalt ødelagt av tyskerne i 1944. Etter krigen ble fyrstasjonen gjenoppbygget etter tegninger av arkitektene Blakstad og Munthe-Kaas. Bygningsmassen omfatter bolig og uthus, samt to naust og landinger. Tufter etter bolig og gamle uthus finnes fortsatt. Rester etter et tysk kystfort er bevart like ved fyrstasjonen med kanoner, kanonstillinger, bunkers, løpegraver og geværstillinger.
Fyrstasjonen har høy arkitektonisk verdi med den knappe og fint proposjonerte fyrbygningen, og de øvrige bygningenes plassering på tomten. Fyrstasjonen har høy miljøskapende verdi i området og en viktig beliggenhet ved innseilingen til Kirkenes. Kilde: Norsk Fyrhistorisk forening

  Bøkfjord lighthouse is located on the south side of Varangerfjorden outside Kirkenes. The lighthouse has a 1 storey concrete building with the light in a low tower. The lens device is of the 5th order. The plant was completely destroyed by the Germans in 1944. After the war, the priest was rebuilt after drawings by the architects Blakstad and Munthe-Kaas. The building comprises housing and outbuildings, as well as two boathouses and landings. Tufter for housing and old outbuildings still exists. Remains of a German coastal fort are preserved just by the canon, cannon, bunkers, rifles and gunposts.The lighthouse has a high architectural value with the handsome and well-appointed four-story building and the other buildings on the site.
